KamikazeCon 3: Electric Boogaloo PDF Print
Thursday, 25 March 2010
Well ladies and gentlemen, we've returned from our little excursion down south to KamikazeCon and I must say, I am pleasantly surprised. The hotel was rather easy to find, and when we arrived and got our bags situated, we got down to business. The atmosphere of the convention was relaxed and it certainly didn't hurt that we were being treated practically like kings. Nathan and Mark took very good care of us, and made sure we had the necessary tables to run what we needed to. There was a great amount of fun had (sometimes at the expense of our staff) and overall I'd have to say I'm impressed. Nod made a surge in popularity at this convention with Chris "Apple" Scarcia running more Nod games than you could shake a stick at. And shake it his players did. Patrick "Raeging Yeti" also ran more than his fair share of the games, with our fearless leader Cameron, a.k.a. "Woosh" running a nearly flawless convention this time around. Make sure to congratulate these fine folks if you see them at MidCon!

The weekend was filled with missiles, mad scientists, and things that go bump in the night, but altogether we came away unscathed and better for the wear. I personally had one hell of a time getting to meet and play with all of you that showed up to support us, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without you we cannot exist, and with you we excel.

Another important announcement: If you were unable to make it to KamiKazeCon this time around, be sure to catch us there next year as we have been officially invited back! Also, you can catch us for MidCon XXI in mid April, at Der Haus as always. Do make sure to join the forums (link is on the left!) so you can meet us and chat with the guys that made these games. You'll also probably find some players in your area, or GMs, so be sure to stop in and say hello!

We met a great many new players and people, and the first one to note is Chris Hazelton, writer and artist of the webcomic, http://www.misfile.com/ . Go check out his stuff, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Secondly, we were introduced to the Con Director Mark, and let me tell you, that guy is crazy awesome. And assisting him (with us, mainly) was Nathan Saucier, who was a fantastic help in setting us up and making sure we were ready to go. These guys run one heck of a convention, so be sure to show up next year!

Justin out.

Tribute will be used to fund furture and very, very near-term projects that will allow us to expand our worlds, and bring others into the land of hard copies. First on our agenda: a series of comic books centered around Miracle Girl and her place in Legacy Crossing.

Contributing has its perks. They are not all finalized yet, but ideas include signed first editions, spots in alpha tests of new games, invitations to canon games (whereby YOUR character can join the ranks of Chapel-One, Eldor, and other, as-of-yet unnamed characters-to-come), and a few other ideas we've got rolling around.

For more information on Tribute, see jdFritz's forum post here.
