Normally Josh would do this, but he's not exactly around today and I know the date so I'll go ahead and do it instead.

MidCon 22 will be at Der Haus (as if it'd be elsewhere) on May 15-16, starting 3 PM on Saturday.

I appreciate the thought of wanting to show up early to help us out with cleaning and setting up and whatnot, but many times we've just got to get stuff done and there's really nothing else to be done. I'm really grateful that you guys are so willing to help, there's just usually nothing to be done.

Just a reminder for those who like to bring STUFF, like the ever delightful Shine who has brought pasta the last couple of MidCons, if it's on The Table it is for public consumption. If it's not, don't assume it is. People may be willing to share, but it's best to find the owner and ask.

It was a good, if a little small, MidCon and hope to see you all next month.

Sweet, newbies! I love newbies. New to TT RPGs, PtME, or gaming in general?

I will be there on sunday only. I have a friends wedding to go to on Saturday the 15th.

I, of course, will be in attendance. I'll try and get some of the new Houstonians up, as well, too.

Also, I will either be running a refined version of the Shinobi Defense Force game or some of the new stuff I am cooking up (see my threads in the Lucid section). Input and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would so play in the pirate version of your LGS mod. Even as much as I was enthusiastic this weekend you have no idea.

the newbies are new to PnP, but are learning well. one kinda plays games, but neither are big gamers. and neither of them have even been to the ptme room, though they regularly go to cons

Coool, real newbies. You have no idea how many of those we get around here, it's ridiculous. It's awesome when something you made gets someone excited about a whole subset of entertainment they may have never even known existed. Warms the depths of my cruel, icy heart just a touch.

Hell yes! I was so afraid that mid-con would pop up on the weekend before finals but it's the weekend after! I might be able to bring a newbie along as well, though I cannot guarantee that she will play. We shall try to corrupt her mind with our gaming goodness!

You're going to have to be all insidious, worming the words of gaming into her vocabulary slowly but surely so that way she'll play when she gets here. We wouldn't want her sitting around the house bored all weekend. :-/
